Schnalser Collection
2014
Inspired by the traditional “Zopfornament” (which can roughly be translated as “Braid Ornament”) of the South Tyrolean timber framing, the “Schnalser collection” was created. A knot of four crossing table legs was developed from the braid. The principle of the node point can also be applied to numerous other furniture items, since the node point is parametrically modifiable and can thus be adapted individually. The furniture harmonizes with half-timbered buildings as well as with contemporary environments without appearing old-fashioned.They are ideal for establishments in South Tyrol and, of course, for private use, as they fit harmoniously into rural alpine environments. This is achieved on the one hand by the use of indigenous woods and on the other by the use of elements of the local formal language.
